T Magazine from the New York Times gathered 28 of the most influential artists, writers, performers, musicians, activists and intellectuals who lived, worked, and played in the downtown New York scene of the late 70’s and early 80’s, for a look back and celebration of the time.
Amos Poe, filmmaker and fixture of the era in his own right, signed on to create a video document of the occasion.
Two versions of the film were made, a shorter version for the NYT publication as well as an extended 30min director’s cut.
